Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, author, CNN's "New day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected. Camerota was an editor for more than 30 years, reported on news events both nationally and internationally. She won an Emmy Award in her early career when she covered the arrest by Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award for breaking the news of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford was made the honorary trustee after her tenure as a trustee on the Board since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport became board chair following an appointment on the Board since 2013. Czekaj Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who served as the board's chair until October 15, 2015, and continues to be a member of the board since. There 26 trustees are on the board at The Playhouse.
